“Adam should never have eaten from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil to be “like God” – he was ALREADY like God! The tree of the knowledge of good and evil was symbolic of the law. The law gives you knowledge of good and evil and makes you conscious of sin. The law never shows you a knowledge of righteousness and holiness – the law says it will show you that you are sinful. Once you come to Christ the law is taken off your life TOTALLY!”
