"Does God give you His Spirit and work miracles among you because you do the works of the law or because you believe what you heard?".
Paul asks a very direct question there. What qualifies you for a life of the supernatural of the Spirit and for the working of miracles? The Greek language there is the present, continuous tense - the on-going giving of His Spirit and the on-going working of miracles. He says is it by the observing and doing of the law - your performance, your holiness, what you have earned or deserved or because you have simply believed the message? The message he has preached is that you are righteous in Christ apart from the law. He said is the Spirit of God moving among you because you believed the message or because you are doing the works of the law?He is writing to a church that once had great miracles but now the miracles had dried up and the supernatural diminished radically.
And now they had fallen into all kinds of terrible works of the flesh and all kinds of sin because they had gone back into the law and the law was bringing destruction on them. He is saying that you once had joy, you once had the moving of the Spirit, does God do these miracles because of your works of the law and your performance or because you believed the message of grace? That is a very direct question and deserves a very direct answer! Paul gives such a direct answer that it should shut the mouthes of the Pharisees and the critics of this grace message once and for all eternity through all the earth!This direct question deserves direct answers. Paul gives it very direct. The very next verse in (v6);
"Consider Abraham. He believed God and it was credited to him as righteousness. Understand then that those who believe are children of Abraham. The Scripture foresaw that God would justify the Gentiles by faith and announce the gospel in advance to Abraham. All nations will be blessed through you so those who have faith are blessed".
Those who have faith are blessed along with Abraham - the man of faith! (v10);
"All who rely on observing the law are cursed - for it is written; 'Cursed is everyone who does not do everything that is written in the book of the law".
The relying on the law will bring a curse because the works of the law are not of faith - but those who have faith are blessed along with Abraham the man of faith. Why is faith so important? Because faith connects you with the blessing. Faith gives you confidence that you are the righteousness of God. Faith - when you stand to pray and this gets into your spirit and into your heart and the seed gets in there and you lift your hands to pray and say; "Father, I thank you that I am a man or woman of faith and I am the righteousness of God and I praise you - yes I did some mistakes yesterday but I praise you that I am the righteousness of God". Immediately the grace and the power will come upon you.His Presence will always come because I know that I am the righteousness of God!
"The law is not based on faith - on the contrary the man who does these things will live by them. Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us - for it is written; 'Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree'. He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles who come to Christ Jesus so that by faith we may receive the promise of the Spirit".
Galatians 3:5
Romans 10:1-4
"Brothers, my hearts desire and prayer for the Israelites is that they may be saved".
I believe that every Christian should have a desire for the people of Israel - the native Jews - the people of the Old Covenant lineage that brought the Messiah. The Jewish people - the Messanic race that brought the Messiah into the earth and I believe that we should pray for the peace of Jerusalem and stand in faith for Israel while loving Arabs and hoping and praying for reconciliation. There are many hundreds of thousands of Jewish people coming from the ex-Soviet Union and coming into Israel in these last few years and many of them are coming to Christ - they didn't grow up in the land of Israel - but many of them are coming to Christ and we do believe that the people of Israel - their eyes are going to be opened and they will see their Jewish Messiah Jesus Christ and be born again and gain righteousness by faith and not by works of the law.
"For I can testify about them that they are zealous for God - but their zeal is not based on knowledge since they did not know the righteousness that comes from God and sought to establish their own".
What is that? It is self-righteousness. It is seeking to establish it by the law - it's self-righteous.
"Christ is the end of the law so that there may be righteousness for everyone who believes".
What is the basis for the blessing of God? When I get a Christian come upto me and say; "I need healing - I have served in the church all my life, I've been good, I've done this and that" - I know that person is not going to get healed. Because they are hoping to get healed on the basis of their self-righteousness instead of being healed on the basis of the gift of God's righteousness. They are not submitting to God's righteousness - they are promoting their works of righteousness. Then none of the blessings will come their way and Galatians 3 says the curses come on those who are self-righteous.

Romans 8:28-30
Everyone is predestined by the way. I've studied Calvinism and Arminianism for decades - those He predestined He also called. Let's read on; "Whom He called - these He also justified". God called you and when He called you before you were born, He already justified you and declared that you were righteous - no more sin in His eyes. He doesn't see your sin! He just sees you as righteous. That's pretty powerful! "Those He called, He also justified and those He justified He also glorified". This is all past tense now. "What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us - who can be against us?". Now that Greek word "Called" - those He predestined, He also called. The called according to His purpose.
The New Testament was originally written in Ancient Greek - not the modern Greek. The Greek word is; "kaleo". The word actually means that God "screamed". He screamed in time; "You can do it! You can do it! You may have felt overwhelmed but you can do it! You may have been overlooked but you can do it! You may have been misunderstood and failed many times but you can do it!".
The "kaleo" is the scream of God".

John 16:14-15
"In other words, He will take what I have and He will manifest it to you. The next verse He says, "All that the Father has is mine. That is why I said, 'He will take what is mine and declare it to you" - in other words, you are about to become brothers, joint equal heirs seated in the heavenly realms in Me and with Me. What is your identity Christian? You are identified with everything Jesus is, where Jesus is seated, what Jesus can do, Who Jesus is - His righteousness, the glory that shines in His face - you are a co-equal heir! This is the truth of the New Testament denied to millions of Christians around the world who think that God will reject them. He will never reject you - why? He will never reject those identified with Jesus and He will never reject you because all He sees is the light that shines in the face of Jesus. He doesn't see your sin so come boldly into the throne room! Come boldly and be concious of where you are seated right now! Be concious of that heavenly realm - that is your identity!".

Luke 4:14, 17
(“In the power of the Spirit”) – (“The Spirit of the Lord is on Me because He has anointed Me”) – “1. What does the anointing of God do? (Acts
19:11-12) – It heals, it liberates, it lifts burdens, it drives out demons, it
expands us, it increases our expectation of God. 2. What is the
anointing? It is the Presence and power of God made manifest. God’s
Presence is not manifest all the time but as soon as you put faith in the
anointing of God and start talking about the anointing – it starts
manifesting. The anointing is tangible – perceptible – detectible to the senses. It is heavenly materiality. In the anointing the Father’s love is extravagantly lavished over your soul. You cannot love Him with
all your strength until you have experienced Him loving you with all His strength. 3. How is the anointing conducted to you? It is not
only tangible but also transferable and conducted just like electricity.
The anointing flowed into Paul’s handkerchief so it became like a battery of power which when laid on the sick healed them. The anointing protects you from being crippled by condemnation and guilt; it opens prison doors and enables us to live in a power coming from another age. The anointing primarily is for faithfulness to the Father so we can minister it to a lost and hurting world”.Ref: Rob Rufus - “Increasing in the Anointing” City Church International, Hong Kong – 29th April 2007

We will see stadiums packed with people. We were raised to bring a revolution in the earth. The power of the Most High will come on us and effect the social climate of Hong Kong - prisons, education, the poor, China! Nations!". "He could there do NO miracles". Jesus marvels at unbelief and the only two He said had great faith were non-Jews outside of the covenant. This was because they weren't labouring under the condemnation of the Law. They weren't trying to merit the anointing of God! Yet in His own home town He couldn't do any miracles. The time is coming when we find it easier to do miracles among the heathen rather than churches”.

Mark 5:30
“Jesus knew how this power worked because He knew the love of His Father within Him so He was capacitated to use this power even when He wasn’t praying. It wasn’t difficult to pull the power of God from Jesus because He understood the secrets of its working. “Daughter your faith has healed you” … The power is that tangible it doesn’t matter whether you shake or fall, you can feel it leaving and if it doesn’t leave you know they won’t get healed. The power has to flow out of us and into the body. If it goes into the body the power will go like a heat seeking missile to the problem if it is big enough”.

Mark 4:1-20
(Parable of the Sower) – “Many evangelists today believe that it is acceptable to lose 75% of “converts” to a backslidden lukewarm style’s of living because they incorrectly assume that Jesus is legitimizing it in the parable of the sower in Mark 4. The seed of the gospel falls on: 1) Hard soil, 2) Rocky soil, 3) Thorny soil and 4) Good soil Now Jesus said this parable unlocks the mystery of all the other parables! Of the first 3 types of people they believe the message but there is no regeneration because their heart condition was wrong so that when satanic pressure or hardship comes they fall away or just keep a hypocritical pretentious form of Godliness.
But the parable of the sower was never given by Jesus to console, comfort or legitimize disappointing evangelistic results! It was given for instruction. The purpose of the law is to turn the soil of a person’s heart. The law is to prepare the soil of a person’s heart before you sow the seed of the gospel! Jesus said the good soil represents the hearts of those who have understanding (Mark 4, Matthew 13 and Luke 8). Is Jesus saying there are some lucky ones in society who just happen to have good understanding hearts?
No, not at all! Romans 3:10 to 11 says, “As it is written: There is no one righteous, not even one; There is no one who understands, no one who seeks God”. So what made the difference? The law of God, the school Teacher gave them understanding, convicted them, and showed them their danger and their desperate need of a saviour. They agonized over their sin and entered through the narrow or small gate in a depth of repentance. They were wonderfully saved, justified in Christ, never to backslide, but to keep on producing fruit year after year 30, 60 or even a 100 times what was sown!”

Matthew 9:20-22, Mark 5:26-34, Luke 8:43-48
“I find this passage extraordinary. It is the best passage to demonstrate the transference of the anointing. Anointing is tangible, transferable and can be conducted like electricity. It can flow out of our hands, it can flow through our words, it can super-charge handkerchiefs, Jesus’ clothing, Elijah’s clothing – he threw that coat over Elisha and Elisha got a transference of power and doubled the anointing from then on. He then went to an open grave and his body rotted till his bones of the prophet were there. Then some people dropped a corpse into the tomb of Elisha and when it touched his dead bones, the body was raised from the dead because there was so much power in the bones of Elisha. We see this throughout Scripture – there is so many examples”.

(five [were] foolish) – “No urgency. They didn’t bother taking any oil, keeping topped up with anointing, staying filled with the Spirit to overflow. No urgency! Ignorance through lack of revelation”. (Lord, Lord, open to us) – “Now urgency has arrived but it is too late. Now they are urgent! Some people wake up too late”. (Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh) – “Now whatever your interpretation of this parable is – whatever you think Jesus was trying to say here, one thing you cannot deny is that the theme is a theme of urgency.
He is talking about a preparation for a visit of the Bridegroom and there are 5 wise and 5 foolish. They are all obviously believers because they have been justified – they have a gift of righteousness. They are virgins. They are clean! They are righteous in terms of a gift. The five un-wise are called stupid! They miss a visitation. I do not believe this is talking about those who are going to heaven and those who are going to hell. You do not go to hell for not having enough anointing. You go to heaven and miss hell because you are a virgin, spiritually speaking and because you have been given a gift of righteousness. The theme is the Bridegroom comes for a visitation for those who have made themselves exclusively ready for Him with a clear urgency”.

Matthew 17:19-20
“I look at the disciples and they were men of faith before the Cross but one day they stepped out to pray for a boy with a demon and they couldn't get the demon out. Jesus came and cast it out proving it was the will of God to get that demon out. Today if we try to get someone healed and they don't, we say it wasn't the will of God to heal that person. The disciples were shocked and asked why couldn't we cast that demon out? Why were they shocked? Because they had some success before in casting demons out but then they hit a disappointment.
But Jesus said; "This type only come out by prayer and fasting". He DID NOT mean this type of demon only comes out by prayer and fasting. Every demon has lost authority and must come out in the Name of Jesus. There is no hierarchy of demon that can resist you unless you have fasted and prayed. If you believe that lie, every demon will tell you; "I am the kind that only come out by prayer and fasting and you haven't fasted". So you wait for a week fasting and in that time the demon kills the person. Jesus was saying this kind of unbelief comes out by prayer and fasting. You can have faith to cast out demons but if you have disappointment that will hinder your faith”.

Matthew 17:1-7
“When you come through the New Covenant cloud of baptism into Christ, you will look up and see no Moses, no Elijah but just the New Covenant in Christ Jesus. Peter is wanting to make Jesus equal with Moses and Elijah. Moses represents the Law – Elijah represents the Old Covenant prophets of judgement. Jesus represents grace and Peter wants to mix together and balance and make compatible and honour equally grace and law and Old Covenant prophetic judgement …
The law came on tablets of stone and 2 Corinthians 3 says it is a ministry of fading glory. Peter means “stone”. Every Hebrew name has a meaning. James means “Jacob” or “supplanter” and John means “grace”. So on the Mount of Transfiguration the ministry of stone was supplanted by grace. Elijah represents that under Old Covenant prophets, the sacrifice was never enough. The sacrifice was always far less than the judgement (for instance Elijah on top of Mount Carmel – the fire consumed everything). Under Jesus the sacrifice was far greater than the wrath. Condemnation is perfectly over. The curse of the law is permanently over! How could the Father call you righteous without you doing righteous acts? Because Jesus who knew no sin was made sin without Him doing sinful acts”.

Then tell them; "The Kingdom of heaven is near - heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, drive out demons. Freely you have received - freely give". Jesus said in the Gospels that the earth is His footstool so worshipping God is worship Jesus Christ because He is already exalted to the highest place … Where He is making His/our enemies to be under His feet in reality and in experience”.

Psalm 91:1
“Psalm 91:1; "He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High" - that is the Hebrew word; "Most High" = "El elyon". "Will rest in the shadow of the Almighty". "Shelter" means that intimate place, that close place, that secret place of the Most High God. "Will rest" - wonderful word that. "Shadow" - that word is the "Hovering Presence of God" - it is not just a static Presence. It is a Presence like we see when the Presence of God was hovering over the deep in Genesis 1:2. This is like a helicopter over you and there is a down-draft of the Presence of God. The hovering Presence of God - the shadow of the Almighty will be over your life”.

Psalm 16:11
“Don't seek deliverance but the Deliverer! Miracles radiate easily in His Presence! Those who seek miracles are always living in fear and taboo of what not living like Jesus. In His Presence is fullness of joy! The more heavenly minded we are, the more earthly good we will be. Why invest in something that will not last?”.

2 Chronicles 5:13-14
“Can you see the difference there between the anointing and the glory - the anointing consecrates us to go into the glory - the anointing is wonderful, but sadly the flesh can still exalt itself under the anointing. When the power of the anointing is on you - you can start showing off a bit - sadly - and drawing attention to yourself. BUT when you go into the glory - NO flesh will exalt in itself. In the glory realm, at those times, we don't need anointed ministers, anointed priests- because in the glory, it says, the priests could not perform their service anymore. It says they couldn't even stand (in some other translations). God wants to take the church on being man centred, man operated, man driven under the anointing and take the church into the cloud of His glory - with God's weight of His importance in that place(the church) and people are not saying, by faith, God's here -but they are on their faces because God is there in manifestation, that's the Hebrew word for glory, kabod which means the essence and substance of God's weighty presence, or doxsa in the Greek”.

2 Chronicles 5:11
“The priests then withdrew from the Holy Place. All the priests who were there had consecrated themselves, regardless of their divisions. If you study the Old Testament, God's will was to have a nation of priests. God's will today is that every Christian is a priest. If you study how OT priests consecrated themselves, you will see they did it primarily in 2 ways. They applied the blood of a sacrifice to their right ear, their right thumb and their right big toe. They applied blood, they also applied anointing oil, (that's a type and a shadow)
The substance in the New Testament is we apply the blood of the Lamb, Jesus Christ- the justifying power of the blood - we apply the supernatural heavenly anointing oil - I want viscosity in that oil, I want lubrication, I want that glistening supernatural divine enablement of anointing because the anointing always follows the blood, wherever the blood of Jesus is applied the anointing is applied. Consecration, biblically is not pledging our promise - "I promise I won't sin again Lord, I promise, I promise....." strength of resolution, fasting for 40 days, going through external religion- that is flesh consecrating flesh! It will not go into the glory - the way we are consecrated is from heaven, through the blood of the Lamb and the fresh anointing oil”.

2 Samuel 6:13
“After they walked 6 steps, David made sacrifices and danced. Why does it say 6? That's the number of man, man was made on the 6th day- the crowning climax of God's creativity - MAN- without connection to the glory of God though, man is nothing. We are NEVER meant to live in self-sufficiency. We don't have self-sufficiency. We are meant to live in the presence of God -24 hours a day, 7 days a week. That's why the cross split the veil from top to bottom, so the presence of God could come out and be on us 24/7.
The #666, which is the mark of the beast, triple 6- triple means the # of completeness - the # means a religion will form in the last days which will exalt man as the measure of all things and man is complete in himself and they will worship the beast and the anti-Christ(anti-anointing) and worship a religion of self-sufficiency and self grandeur - so for the glory to come back it had to be, that they stepped every 6 steps and worshipped God. For us to bring the glory back every priest must have a lifestyle of worshipping and blessing Him, making sacrifices to God. Just believe that you're justified, step in through the blood, through the anointing - don't try and work this up in your own strength, don't try and earn it! JUSTIFICATION- that's how you enter the glory!!”

Deuteronomy 29:2
"Your eyes have seen" - "The tragedy was that they did not discern God. We have a people come into this church and they are blind to the supernatural. They do not see the invisible but they talk about it and decide whether or not they will get excited about Jesus".

Deuteronomy 28
"Deuteronomy 28 is the pivotal issue in the church right now. Grace will always make you confident to draw near to God - law will always make you shrink back. Romans 5:19 satisfies Deut 28!".

Deuteronomy 6:5
"When we put the law on people who are already believers we weaken them. We cripple people when we say ... come on - how much do you love God? But the New Testament has nothing to do with that! "We love because He first loved us"

Exodus 33:13

Exodus 32:28
"As Moses came down the mountain with the two tablets of stone, he saw that the people below were worshipping a golden calf. On that day the law arrived and at Moses command 3, 000 people were executed for their sin. When grace arrived on the Day of Pentecost, Peter came down from the Upper Room to announce the New Covenant. He didn't say "We're scrapping OT laws and bringing in some NT laws".
No he came down with grace and the people below were not worshipping a golden calf. They had done something far worse. They had crucified the Lord of glory. But on that day the Bible says that 3, 000 were saved!".Ref: Ref: Rob Rufus - "Living in the Grace of God" - Authentic Media (2007) - (p28-29).

“Great types and shadows study on the anointing - this is the sacred
anointing oil. This anointing is so sacred and fragrant and wonderful that we need to stay fresh in it - daily!”Ref: Rob Rufus - "Newfrontiers Prayer and Fasting - Session 2" - May 2007.
Exodus 12:7
"Moreover, they shall take some of the blood and put it on the two doorposts and on the lintel of the houses in which they eat it".
"The blood of Jesus is not for our examination but for God's! When God told Israel to put the blood of the lamb on the sides and tops of the door-frames, this was outside the house. The people were inside the house and could not touch, see or feel the blood. But the blood wasn't there for them - it was for God to examine. And when He saw it, He caused the Angel of Death to pass over".

Genesis 3:5
“Adam should never have eaten from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil to be “like God” – he was ALREADY like God! The tree of the knowledge of good and evil was symbolic of the law. The law gives you knowledge of good and evil and makes you conscious of sin. The law never shows you a knowledge of righteousness and holiness – the law says it will show you that you are sinful. Once you come to Christ the law is taken off your life TOTALLY!”

temptation because she had enough grace to resist. But once again Satan undermined the integrity of God's character - Eve was instantly vulnerable to fall".Ref: Rob Rufus - "Living in the Grace of God" - Authentic Media (2007) - (p34).
Genesis 2:7
"Dust of the earth" - "The Hebrew means "glory particles" - before the earth was cursed, man was formed by glory particles and the God of glory breathed into the shape of man, made of glory particles - man then stood up in the glory, clothed in the glory and full of the glory manifesting the glory".
